Position Summary
Fox Tank Company is seeking an experienced Director of Sales with a strong background selling capital equipment into the Oil & Gas market. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this role is a key member of the leadership team and is responsible for driving revenue growth, leading and developing the sales organization, and executing scalable sales strategies.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of progressive sales experience, a proven ability to lead teams, and a hands-on approach to customer engagement and deal execution.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
· Develop and execute short- and long-term sales strategies aligned with company objectives
· Establish annual and quarterly revenue targets and ensure consistent execution
· Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing, and product availability
· Identify opportunities for market expansion and deeper product penetration
· Develop and maintain sales tools including playbooks, value propositions, and lead-generation frameworks
Team Leadership & Management
· Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team
· Own hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management processes
· Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement
· Collaborate closely with marketing, operations, product, and finance to ensure alignment
Customer Relationship Management
· Personally manage several key strategic accounts requiring senior-level engagement
· Build and expand relationships with existing customers while developing new business
· Coordinate and lead customer line reviews and major account planning efforts
· Organize executive-level meetings with customers ahead of major industry trade shows
Sales Performance & Analytics
· Track and analyze KPIs, pipeline metrics, and sales performance trends
· Maintain accurate CRM reporting on calls, opportunities, orders, and lost business
· Use data to establish commission targets and performance expectations
Budgeting & Business Acumen
· Manage the sales department budget to ensure efficient use of resources
· Contribute to revenue forecasting and broader business planning
· Provide market intelligence and customer insight to support profitable decision-making
Training, Development & Problem Solving
· Ensure the sales team has the tools, training, and knowledge required to succeed
· Encourage ongoing professional development and adoption of best practices
· Address escalated customer issues with urgency and professionalism
· Adapt sales strategies in response to market shifts, competitive pressure, or supply-chain challenges
Required Sales & Business Skills

Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
· 5–10+ years selling capital equipment into the Oil & Gas industry
· Proven success managing large accounts and closing complex commercial agreements
· History of increasing share of wallet through effective product line reviews
· Track record of long-term customer relationship development
Travel
· Approximately 50% travel, primarily within Texas
Compensation
· Base salary: $100,000+, depending on experience and performance
· Variable compensation tied to individual and team sales performance of approximately ($100k)
· Additional incentive tied to overall company performance approximately($100k)
Target total compensation of approximately $300,000 at plan
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
