We are seeking an experienced and motivated Hotel General Manager to lead the team at the Four Points by Sheraton Mall of America Minneapolis Airport. The ideal candidate will have a strong Marriott background, proven hotel leadership experience, and a hands-on approach to managing daily operations, guest satisfaction, team development, and financial performance.
Qualifications
- Strong Marriott brand experience is required
- Minimum 2–3 years of hotel management experience, preferably as a General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or senior department leader
- Strong knowledge of Marriott brand standards, systems, and operational procedures
- Proven ability to lead, train, motivate, and hold team members accountable
- Strong understanding of hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage, Sales, and Revenue Management
- Experience managing budgets, labor costs, payroll, forecasting, and overall hotel profitability
- Ability to maintain high guest satisfaction scores and ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on hotel operational needs
Key Responsibilities
The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, including:
- Providing daily leadership and direction to all hotel departments
- Ensuring compliance with Marriott brand standards and company policies
- Recruiting, training, developing, and retaining a strong management and hourly team
- Monitoring guest satisfaction and responding effectively to guest concerns
- Managing hotel financial performance, expenses, labor, and profitability
- Working closely with Sales and Revenue Management to maximize occupancy and revenue
- Maintaining the physical condition, cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the hotel
- Preparing for and successfully completing Marriott brand inspections and audits
- Building a positive workplace culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and exceptional guest service
- Communicating regularly with ownership and regional leadership regarding hotel performance and operational needs

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Marriott operations and be able to drive results while maintaining excellent guest service and team engagement.
