The individual in this position meets new customers to set up utility accounts and assists with resolving issues and complaints. Essential duties include:
- Registers customers for utility services.
- Verifies leases with property owners for new customers.
- Researches accounts before providing services.
- Processes utility deposit payments.
- Processes utility payments.
- Assists customers; provides information and resolves complaints and concerns.
- Processes move-out requests.
- Processes utility transfers.
- Audits multiple accounts to ensure all account balances are current.
- Maintains files and records.
- Communicates with service workers on matters related to move-ins, move-outs and other service orders.
- Processes online billing credit reports.
- Processes credit card payments.
- Assists law enforcement personnel in the investigation of fraudulent leases.
- Assists with the collections process.
- Processes refund requests.
- Oversees fire hydrant meter rentals.
- Processes proof of resident letter requests.
- Processes credit history letter requests.
- Processes address and name changes.
- Processes capacity recovery fees, water tap fees, and sewer tap fees.
- Performs related duties.
