Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality care to patients. Your role will involve assisting with therapeutic exercises, implementing treatment plans, and monitoring patient progress. Duties:
- Assist the Physical Therapist in evaluating patients' conditions and developing individualized treatment plans
- Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the Physical Therapist
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for exercises and activities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Experience in geriatric care settings is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
