Afrique Noire Magazine
(AFRICA- BASED) Afrique Noire Magazine is looking for a dynamic Video Journalist & On-Camera Reporter to join our core editorial team. This role is at the intersection of journalism, storytelling, and digital media — bringing our articles and cultural features to life through short-form video content.
What You’ll Do:
- Be the on-camera face of Afrique Noire’s short-form video content.
- Adapt our articles, interviews, and cultural stories into compelling 1–3 minute video reports for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms.
- Pitch, script, and present stories with creativity and journalistic integrity.
- Shoot and edit engaging video packages that highlight Africa’s fashion, art, culture, and people.
- Collaborate with the editorial and marketing teams to align video storytelling with the magazine’s mission.
- Stay ahead of digital storytelling trends while keeping Afrique Noire’s voice authentic and powerful.
Who You Are:
- Based in Africa with strong knowledge of the continent’s culture, fashion, and art.
- Experienced in on-camera reporting, presenting, or video journalism.
- Skilled in video production (shooting, editing, sound).
- Confident storyteller who can distill articles into concise, visually compelling narratives.
- Comfortable balancing journalistic rigor with social-first creativity.
- Collaborative, self-driven, and passionate about amplifying African voices on a global stage.
Preferred:
- Previous experience at a magazine, news outlet, or digital storytelling platform.
- Familiarity with short-form video tools (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci).
- Bilingual skills (English/French/Portuguese/Arabic) are a plus but not required.
