We are seeking an experienced Music Therapist to provide therapeutic music services to neonatal and pediatric patients in a medical setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in music therapy and preferably have experience working with children in a healthcare environment.

Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Music Therapy experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Therapy
- MT-BC (Music Therapist – Board Certified) certification required
- Experience working with neonatal and/or pediatric populations preferred
- Experience in a medical or hospital setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Epic experience preferred
- Must be comfortable providing services in a NICU and pediatric surgical environment
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized music therapy interventions to neonatal and pediatric patients
- Develop and implement therapeutic music treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical goals
- Provide age-appropriate music therapy interventions for infants, children, and adolescents
- Support patients experiencing medical procedures, hospitalization, anxiety, pain, or emotional distress through therapeutic music interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, child life specialists, and other healthcare professionals
- Assess patient responses to music therapy and modify interventions as clinically appropriate
- Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and progress according to department and clinical standards
- Provide family-centered support and education when appropriate
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and communication
- Maintain professional and ethical standards of music therapy practice
- Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies when working in clinical areas
- Adapt music therapy techniques to the developmental and medical needs of NICU and pediatric surgical patients
- Float to other affiliated locations or departments when required and when qualified to provide services
