At IGGY'S CAFE, every guest is welcomed like family. We're looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier / Front Counter Associate to help create an exceptional experience for every person who walks through our doors.
As the first point of contact for our guests, you'll take orders, process payments, answer menu questions, and help customers discover our handcrafted coffee, fresh baked goods, and Filipino-inspired café offerings. You'll also assist with keeping the front-of-house clean, organized, and fully stocked while working alongside our baristas and kitchen team in a fast-paced, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities
- Welcome every guest with a friendly, positive attitude and provide exceptional customer service.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders while answering questions about the menu and daily specials.
- Process cash, debit, and credit card transactions using the café's point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Recommend beverages, baked goods, and menu items to enhance each guest's experience.
- Package takeout orders accurately and ensure guests receive everything they need.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting front counter, dining area, and display cases.
- Restock pastries, beverages, retail products, condiments, and other front-of-house supplies throughout the day.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning, cash reconciliation, and preparing the café for service.
- Answer phone calls professionally and assist guests with menu questions, catering inquiries, and takeout orders.
- Work closely with the kitchen and barista teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, cafés, restaurants, bakeries, or retail is preferred but not required.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine passion for hospitality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable operating a POS system and handling cash accurately.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions and balancing cash.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible schedules, including mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
- Bilingual skills are an asset and welcomed.
