Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily mowing operations, ensuring timely completion of projects while maintaining safety protocols.
- Lead and motivate a crew of groundskeeping staff, providing clear instructions and support to maximize productivity.
- Perform quality checks on mowing, trimming, edging, and other landscaping tasks to ensure aesthetic appeal and health of the landscape.
- Assist with or oversee additional landscape maintenance activities such as planting, pruning, irrigation system installation and repair, and garden care.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and tools, performing or arranging for maintenance to keep everything in optimal condition.
- Train team members on best practices in lawn care, horticulture techniques, safety procedures, and customer service standards.
- Collaborate with clients or project managers to understand landscape requirements and deliver customized solutions aligned with project goals.
Skills
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, lawn care, or horticulture with a focus on mowing operations.
- Demonstrated supervising experience leading teams in outdoor or construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of land management practices including tree care, irrigation systems, gardening techniques, and general landscape maintenance.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members effectively.
- Familiarity with construction processes related to outdoor projects and site preparation.
- Ability to identify plant health issues and perform basic horticultural treatments.
