The Bike Builder assembles and fine-tunes new bicycles with a strong focus on quality and efficiency. This role includes building a wide range of bikes, including one-speed children’s bikes, road bikes of all levels, full-suspension mountain bikes, custom builds, cargo bikes, and more - essentially all types of bicycles. The Builder works from a fully equipped bench with company-provided tools and completes builds in accordance with Habitat safety standards and procedures for both the retail floor and rental fleet.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities with staff.
Must coordinate with Repair Supervisor to build bikes during open hours. Flexible working hours may be required based on the business levels.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bike Mechanic skills required
- Guest service experience is required.
- Up-to-date mechanical and technical experience working on bikes preferred.
