Job Summary
VTCDC is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher(s) to join our team. Teachers may work with children ranging from infants through 4 years old and are responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where children can grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
As a Christian childcare center, we strive to share God's love through daily interactions, Bible lessons, prayer, worship, and Christ-centered character development. Teachers serve as positive role models and help children develop a strong foundation of faith while providing high-quality early childhood education.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive care and supervision for children ages 6 weeks to 4 years.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate learning activities.
- Teach Bible stories, scripture, prayer, worship songs, and Christian values.
- Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Follow all licensing regulations, center policies, and health and safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.
- Assist with diapering, potty training, feeding, and other daily care routines as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous childcare, preschool, or early childhood education experience preferred.
- CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related credentials are a plus.
- Ability to work with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Must be dependable, patient, and nurturing.
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet state licensing requirements.
