Sales & Business Development
- Generate new catering and event business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and community outreach.
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, hotels, local businesses, and community organizations.
- Respond promptly to inquiries and prepare customized proposals and contracts.
- Conduct venue tours and client consultations.
- Negotiate pricing, menus, and event details while maximizing profitability.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
Event Planning & Coordination
- Manage events from initial inquiry through execution and post-event follow-up.
- Coordinate with culinary, operations, and service teams to ensure successful event execution.
- Prepare event orders, banquet event orders (BEOs), timelines, and logistics plans.
- Ensure all client requirements, dietary restrictions, and special requests are communicated accurately.
- Attend events as needed to ensure client satisfaction.
Client Relations
- Build long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
- Maintain consistent communication throughout the planning process.
- Address client concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Conduct post-event follow-ups and solicit feedback.
Financial Management
- Monitor event profitability and ensure pricing aligns with company objectives.
- Manage deposits, contracts, billing, and event reconciliation.
- Track sales activities, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Prepare regular sales reports and revenue projections.
Marketing & Promotion
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote catering and event services.
- Participate in networking events, trade shows, bridal expos, and community events.
- Utilize social media and digital platforms to generate leads and promote offerings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Guest-Centric Mindset: Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and consistently exceeding expectations.
- 3+ years of experience in catering sales, event sales, hospitality sales, or restaurant sales.
- Strong knowledge of event planning, banquet operations, and food & beverage services.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and event management software.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English and Spanish
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
