Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Lead Toddler Teacher to guide our youngest learners through their foundational years. In this role, you will develop and implement enriching curriculum plans, create a warm classroom environment, and support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development. Your leadership will inspire both children and fellow staff members as you foster a love of learning from the earliest stages.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes toddler care, behavior management, and childhood development instruction.
- Collaborate with families to support child welfare, communicate progress, and address individual needs.
- Manage classroom routines, ensuring safety and adherence to mandated reporting laws while maintaining an organized learning space.
- Lead activities that encourage social skills, early intervention strategies, and developmental milestones in young children.
- Supervise assistant teachers and support staff to ensure effective classroom management and consistent educational practices.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to preschool teaching, special education, and early childhood education best practices.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with children aged two to three years old in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques tailored for toddlers.
- Knowledge of child development theories, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques.
- Experience with Montessori or other specialized educational approaches is preferred.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, standardized testing procedures for early learners, and child welfare policies.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families and team members.
- Previous leadership experience as a lead teacher or in a supervisory role within early childhood education is highly desirable.
