J. Madison Atelier is a small, handmade clothing brand specializing in thoughtfully designed, made-to-order dresses. Every garment is designed, cut, sewn, and packaged in-house with a focus on quality and craftsmanship.
I'm looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Studio Assistant to help with garment production and day-to-day studio tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has an interest in fashion or sewing, and wants to learn how a small clothing brand operates.
Responsibilities
- Wash, iron, and organize fabric before production
- Cut garment pieces using patterns
- Pin, mark, and prepare garments for sewing
- Perform light sewing and serging (experience is a plus, but not required)
- Organize fabric, patterns, and studio supplies
- Pack customer orders and assist with shipping
- Help keep the studio clean and organized
- Create social media content if interested (completely optional)

- Able to follow instructions and work independently
- Comfortable standing for periods of time and using scissors or rotary cutters
- Passionate about fashion or sewing
- Willing to learn new skills quickly
Sewing experience is helpful but not required. I'm happy to train someone who has a great attitude, enjoys working with their hands, and is excited to learn.
This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling. Hours will vary depending on production needs but generally range from 5–10 hours per week during slower periods and up to 15–25 hours during busy seasons.

- This position is based in my home studio, so applicants must be comfortable working in a home-based business environment.
- Final candidates will be required to successfully complete a background check before employment.
- Reliable transportation is required.
Pay: $15.00 per hour
