Job description:
A well-established local company (92 years) providing explosives and explosive related services to the construction, quarry and mining industries in California, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah. Our company is currently looking for a team player to fill the position of Truck Driver/Operator. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks and providing exceptional customer service to our client base. We will provide training to the right person who can demonstrate motivation and a willingness to learn. Requirements:
Clean personal record – No felonies
Clean driving record
Must be 21 years of age with a valid class A CDL with hazmat, tanker, doubles endorsements
Current T.S.A. clearance
Registered with F.M.S.C.A. Drug/Alcohol Clearing House
Ability to pass company driving test
Must be able to operate manual transmission
Background check and pre-employment drug test with randoms
Resume/ DMV printout required to interview
Must possess a positive and professional attitude
Strong customer skills
Ideal to live in area of site (Jamestown, CA.)
Responsibilities:
Drive and operate vehicle safely and legally
Delivery of Hazmat between company and customer sites.
Driver will conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles
Unload and reload products onto trucks according to company procedures
Truck driver will maintain ongoing communication with route dispatcher
Unload products per client specifications (up to 55lbs. per box/case.)
Review delivery inventory of products with customer to ensure accurate count/product received by customer
