Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Maintaining restrooms, offices spaces, and eateries.
- Execute specialized floor care procedures such as scrubbing, waxing, buffing, polishing, and refinishing floors to maintain their appearance and durability.
- Handle various cleaning equipment like floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners efficiently and safely.
- Use appropriate chemical agents for cleaning tasks while adhering to safety protocols related to chemical handling and environmental services.
- Conduct manual handling of cleaning supplies and equipment, including heavy lifting when necessary for tasks like moving furniture or large cleaning machinery.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, chemical usage, and safety inspections.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests and ensuring their environment exceeds expectations.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or institutional settings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with floor cleaning chemicals, floor buffing machines, floor waxing techniques, and carpet cleaning methods is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of environmental safety standards related to chemical agents handling and waste disposal.
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards across diverse environments.
