Responsibilities
- Clear and reset tables efficiently, ensuring a smooth flow of service during busy hours
- Assist servers by delivering food and beverages promptly from the kitchen to guests’ tables, maintaining accuracy and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including sweeping, wiping down tables, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold food safety standards
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of trays, boxes, or supplies using safe lifting practices to support kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Support kitchen staff with basic food handling and preparation tasks as needed to ensure timely service
- Communicate effectively with team members using clear verbal cues and POS (Point of Sale) systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order accuracy
- Uphold guest services standards by providing friendly in-person customer service, addressing guest needs courteously, and ensuring a positive dining experience
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and heavy lifting in line with safe lifting practices
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and interact positively with guests
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Experience with bussing, food running, or banquet service is advantageous but not essential—training will be available for the right candidate
