To provide management oversight for projects, including coordinating, purchasing, and scheduling, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding with quality, to ensure that a project is completed according to schedule, scope and within budget.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Communicates effectively with clients and other members of the team
- Generates detailed scopes of work
- Completes work on time in a professional and competitive manner
- Identifies and reports errors, ambiguities, and missing information in contract documents, minimizes all exclusions possible
- Solicits and maintains communication and positive relations with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Prepare preconstruction estimates for schematic and design development levels of projects
- Meets bid deadline requirements in an accurate and complete manner
- Transmits addenda and other bid information to subcontractors
- Prepares material quantity takes-offs for scopes of work
- Solicits and obtains material and subcontractor quotes
- Support operations departments during transition and installation
- Performs comprehensive analysis and scoping for bids
- Supports the bid day closing of the estimate
- Assists with post-bid analysis
- Reviews job costing with Project Management team
- Produces accurate estimates with regard to risk factors and construction methods
- Follows company safety policies and procedures
Position Specifications:
Works as part of a team to prepare estimates for construction projects. Evaluates bid specifications and drawings. Ensures that all specifications and requirements are met to successfully bid and win projects.. Works with Project Management team to follow-up on bids and budgets submitted to general contractors.
