Position Summary:
Sets up and starts production job as required to meet schedules and customer commitments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Setup equipment and automation for production. Produce quality approved startup parts.
- Responsible for adhering to all safety requirements and procedures.

Maintains cycle and process integrity with the direction of the Production Manager.

Works with support department to ensure tools, machines and processes are optimized. Recommends and implements changes and improvements to cycles, processes and procedures to maintain schedule and improve part quality.

Create processes and maintain documentation to ensure proper setup and successful startups. Works directly with Management and Technical staff to suggest improvements in processes and procedures.

Complete and document line clearances.

Train with technical staff to enhance knowledge and experience in all aspects of the production.

Works with the Machine Operators to learn and improve current processes and procedures.

Monitors production schedule to ensure setups are completed on time.

Perform and/or assist with material changeovers as needed.

Assist with training new personnel as necessary.

Keeps work area cleaned and maintained.

Required Competencies, Skills and Experience

Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, plastic injection molding experience required.

Shows mechanical aptitude and an ability to learn and practice correct molding and setup methods.

Displays a good attitude towards learning new jobs and procedures and work towards minimal supervision needed to accomplish daily duties.

Capable of interfacing and leading team members as needed and direct as required by production schedules.
- Must be able to read machine dial gauges, blueprints and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts.
Education and Job Experience Requirements

5-7 years of set up or equivalent technical experience REQUIRED

High School Diploma or G.E.D. required, advanced technical training preferred

Must be willing and capable to complete all levels of Paulson Training

Available to train on new equipment and machinery as they are procured. Keeping education and background up to current industry standards through willingness to attend seminars, read periodicals and seek advanced education

Basic computer skills and ability to work with production software
