Real Estate Management is looking for a Chief Engineer to provide leadership in the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, fire/life safety, data center, building control systems, and other daily maintenance activities for State Fund Facilities.
Under the general supervision of the Chief of Plant Operations, the Chief Engineer is responsible for the supervision and instruction of Stationary Engineers and other trade classifications in the maintenance, operation, repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, building controls, water treatment and Fire/Life safety and other building systems throughout the facility.
The Ideal Candidate will:
• Proficient knowledge operating and maintaining commercial building systems including but not limited to boilers, chillers, air handlers, refrigeration systems, generators, uninterrupted power supply systems, cooling towers, pumps, fans, lighting
• Knowledge of and experience with DDC systems
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Work accurately and efficiently under pressure
• Knowledge of hazardous materials and applicable containment methods in commercial building operations to comply with local, state, and federal rules and regulations
• Work independently and manage time effectively
• Adapt to a variety of different assignments and deal with daily multiple priorities
• Knowledge of MS Office programs
EPA Certification is a required
The position is based in Fresno, however traveling to Pleasanton, at least weekly will be necessary.
