Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining laser cutting equipment to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in machine operation, technical drawing interpretation, and manufacturing processes will ensure high-quality output while adhering to safety standards. Duties
- Set up laser cutting machines according to technical specifications and production requirements, including programming and calibration.
- Operate laser equipment safely and efficiently, monitoring performance throughout the production cycle.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production documents to ensure accurate fabrication of parts.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser machinery to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Measure finished parts using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy and GDT (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Collaborate with team members on materials handling, tooling setup, and assembly line processes to meet production deadlines.
- Maintain detailed records of machine operation, quality checks, and safety inspections in compliance with company standards.
Experience
- Proven experience operating laser cutting or similar CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery within a manufacturing or factory environment.
- Strong knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks for interpreting technical drawings.
- Familiarity with CNC programming, CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programming, and machine troubleshooting techniques.
- Hands-on experience with shop math, blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to use precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other measuring instruments accurately.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and adherence to industrial safety protocols.
- Prior experience working with various manufacturing equipment such as press brake machines, stamping presses, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, welding tools, forklifts, and packaging machinery is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings and production documents while maintaining high quality control standards.
