Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and fluid replacements to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy equipment mechanics techniques to execute repairs efficiently.
- Work with automotive electrical systems and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) to troubleshoot modern vehicle features.
- Follow manufacturer specifications and schematics to complete repairs on GM vehicles and other makes with precision.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs and estimates.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Dealership experience or similar automotive service background is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, schematics reading, and electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Skilled in repairing diesel engines, heavy equipment mechanics, and auto body repairs as needed.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration, wheel alignment procedures, brake repair, suspension work, and oil change services.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Certifications related to diesel mechanics or heavy equipment mechanics are a plus; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with industry advancements.
- Must own your own tools.
