Responsibilities
- Install fire alarm systems including sensors, control panels, and wiring in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and building code requirements
- Conduct routine fire alarm system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure optimal performance
- Read electrical blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings to accurately install and modify fire alarm systems
- Perform system testing and commissioning to verify proper operation of fire alarms and integrated sprinkler systems
- Inspect fire alarm systems for code compliance with NFPA standards, local fire codes, and NEC regulations
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to ensure seamless integration of fire alarm components
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system functions, addressing client concerns, and offering training on system operation
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician or installer specializing in fire alarm systems or low voltage electrical work
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems including proprietary control panels and sensors
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, electrical blueprint reading, CAD software, and engineering troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with building code compliance standards
- Mechanical knowledge related to fire alarm installation processes and electrical work aligned with NFPA standards
- Demonstrated ability to perform construction inspections and verify system compliance with fire codes and regulations
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with effective communication skills for customer interactions

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
