Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Weekend Hostess to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests, and ensuring smooth seating flow during busy weekend hours. Your enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail will help deliver an exceptional dining experience that keeps guests coming back. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists with professionalism and efficiency
- Handle restaurant reservation management using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Communicate effectively with guests via phone, providing accurate information about wait times, reservations, and seating options
- Coordinate with the dining team to ensure timely seating and optimal table management
- Maintain organized reservation logs and assist in managing restaurant flow during peak hours
- Uphold food safety standards and ensure guest comfort throughout their visit
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing inquiries, accommodating special requests, and fostering positive guest relations
Skills
- Proven experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong restaurant reservation management skills and familiarity with restaurant table management systems
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction with guests and team members
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining organizational skills in a fast-paced setting
- Basic math skills for processing reservations, managing waitlists, and handling POS transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure guest well-being
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional guest services, fostering positive guest relations at all times
