The Role:
The mission of a Heart of House team member is to maintain a very high standard in all areas of kitchen operations and food safety, and ensure every guest receives a consistent food experience of excellence with regards to food quality, presentation, and speed of service. All Heart of House Professionals are expected to work along with their team and the entire store with a collaborative spirit to strive for excellent performance in all areas.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Provides a Re-Markable Service
- Effectively assembles orders
- Follows standards for proper presentation of orders
- Ensures accuracy of orders
- Communicates effectively with the front counter and drive-thru team about wait times and when to park cars
- Performs tasks with a sense of urgency
- Proper food quality and monitoring (eRQA, Steritech Reports, Safe Daily Critical and ROA)
- Upholds organizational standards to increase proficiency
- Monitoring/preventing waste by following proper tracking
2. Maintains and provides an Excellent Environment
- Ensures a clean and sanitize food contact surface before and after preparing food and at least every 4 hours for ongoing tasks
- Ensures a clean and inviting kitchen environment; this includes walls, floors, floorboards, ceiling, hood vents and equipment
- Always prepared for Steritech or DHEC visits by following required food quality and safety procedures and checks
3. Exhibits Proficient Understanding of Chick-fil-A Brand & Product Knowledge
- Able to correctly assemble all menu products
- Able to properly use all equipment related to the kitchen
4. Performs at a High Standard of Proficiency in Assigned Kitchen Stations
- Kitchen team members will be trained in a minimum of three kitchen stations
- Exhibits knowledge of assigned e-train modules required to work station
- Stays current on e-train updates and new product rollouts for assigned stations
