Due to continued growth Continental Express is seeking a Fleet Manager to join our operations team. This is a full-time, logistics position at our corporate office in Sidney, OH.
As a Fleet Manager, you will:
- Dispatch fleet of professional drivers and work collaboratively with them and other operations personnel to provide safe, on-time delivery of freight to Continental Express’ customers
- Establish one-on-one relationships with drivers to sustain and uphold Continental Express’ team-oriented culture
- Organize and assign productive drivers to the most efficient routes to ensure deadlines are met.
- Analyze and monitor the safe driving and behavior of drivers, and discipline when necessary.
- Communicate with customers electronically and via telephone to schedule freight for pick-up and delivery and to provide updates
- Enter, edit and update appropriate information in an internal computer system
- Collaborate with safety, human resources, billing, and other internal departments as necessary
For success in this role, you will need:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and general computer knowledge
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail in a changing environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent dispatch experience preferred
