HIRING COSMETOLOGY INSTUCTOR
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Cosmetology Instructor to educate, mentor, and inspire future beauty professionals. The ideal candidate is committed to student success, professionalism, and creating a positive learning environment while ensuring compliance with California State Board and school requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach cosmetology theory and practical skills in accordance with the curriculum.
- Demonstrate professional cosmetology techniques, safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress and performance.
- Prepare lesson plans, classroom activities, and practical demonstrations.
- Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and student records.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and constructive feedback to students.
- Prepare students for California State Board licensing examinations.
- Ensure compliance with school policies, safety standards, and state regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional classroom and clinic floor.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development activities.
- Assist with student retention and promote a positive educational experience.
- Support admissions, orientation, and school events as needed.
- Classroom management, reliable.
- Walking and standing, maintain a clean and sanitary clinic floor.
Qualifications:
- Current California Cosmetology Instructor License.
- Minimum 3-5 years of industry experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage students of diverse backgrounds.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Basic computer skills and recordkeeping ability.
- Commitment to student success and educational excellence.
- Professional conduct with students.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to demonstrate cosmetology procedures and techniques.
- Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment as needed.
