What You'll Do
- Set up and operate manual knee mills equipped with ProtoTRAK controls.
- Machine aircraft engine components in accordance with FAA-approved repair manuals, engineering instructions, and blueprints.
- Perform precision machining for repair operations, including bushing bores, inserts, helicoils, spot faces, reliefs, and other component features.
- Set up fixtures and workholding for complex repair operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, repair manuals, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gages, indicators, and depth micrometers.
- Hold close tolerances and produce high-quality work while meeting surface finish requirements.
- Support assembly and disassembly operations as production needs require, including installation of bushings, helicoils, inserts, clinch nuts, and related hardware in accordance with FAA-approved repair manuals.
- Maintain quality, safety, and FAA regulatory compliance throughout all operations.
- Work collaboratively with Engineering, Quality, and Production to support customer delivery commitments.
What We're Looking For
- Experience operating manual milling machines with ProtoTRAK controls is required.
- Strong blueprint reading skills and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment.
- Ability to hold tight tolerances and produce consistent, quality workmanship.
