Electrical Assembler / Panel Builder
Location: Spring, TX 77380
Pay Rate: $20 - $28/hour DOE
Schedule: M-F, 8am to 5pm
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Assembler / Panel Builder to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels used in various industrial applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, proficiency with schematic diagrams, and experience working with a variety of hand and power tools. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality manufacturing processes while ensuring safety and precision in every project. Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble electrical control panels according to detailed schematics and technical drawings
- Wire components such as circuit breakers, relays, contactors, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Solder components using IPC 610 standards for surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole assemblies
- Verify electrical connections using tools such as ohmmeters and calipers to ensure accuracy
- Conduct testing of assembled panels to confirm proper operation and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and electrical codes during assembly processes
- Use mechanical knowledge to install components securely within enclosures
- Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to facilitate accurate assembly
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, machining equipment, and calipers efficiently
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in panel building or electrical assembly within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of PCB (printed circuit board) assembly processes
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their wiring requirements
- Knowledge of IPC 610 standards for soldering and electronic assembly quality
- Experience working with schematics, electrical wiring, and mechanical assembly techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, and basic machining equipment
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting, testing, and verifying circuits
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety compliance
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
