MARYWOOD NURSING CARE CENTER is seeking to grow our Food Nutrition Service team at our 5-Star Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility.
Founded and guided by the Felician Sisters of North America, Marywood Nursing Care Center is a not-for-profit, dually certified Medicare and Medicaid skilled nursing care center providing patient-centered short healthcare services. A full range of personalized services include skilled nursing and rehabilitation services.

Marywood is seeking qualified candidates for a Cook position:
Part-Time Day and Afternoon Shift with Weekend & Holiday rotation required.
Qualifications of a Cook include, but are not limited to:
- 12th grade education or equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year dietary experience
- Hospital, skilled nursing care facility or other related facility experience preferred ServSafe Management Certificate preferred
- Ability to aid in all food functions as directed or instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures.
- Good customer service skills essential
- Must be able to prepare and cook a variety of foods in large quantities
- Must be able to demonstrate proper knife skills, portioning control, and recipe adherence.
- Must have excellent customer service and problem solving ability
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions
- Must be knowledgeable of dietary procedures: proper food rotation, taking and recording proper food temperatures, and
- Must possess basic understanding of diet restrictions.
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
- Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and the appearance of work areas
- Must follow “clean as you go” work performance and proper sanitation practices.
- Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Weekend/Holiday rotation required per Department need
