Duties
- Administer medications, injections, and other treatments following strict protocols and safety standards.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection, laboratory processing, and medical imaging procedures.
- Provide wound care practices to promote healing and prevent complications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans aligned with long-term care regulations and Resident needs.
- Educate Residents and their families on health management strategies including dementia care, Alzheimer's support, pain management techniques, and medication adherence.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical documentation in EMR/EHR systems for legal and clinical purposes.
Experience
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the relevant state or jurisdiction.
- Proven experience working with geriatric patients in settings such as skilled nursing facilities or assisted living communities.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health records.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols, sterile techniques, and advanced assessment skills.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges while demonstrating excellent caregiver communication skills.
