Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with selecting clothing items that meet their needs and preferences
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments
- Conduct product demos to showcase new arrivals and highlight key features or styling tips
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts, ensuring the sales floor is inviting and organized
- Upsell additional products by recommending complementary items to maximize sales opportunities
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, offering fitting room assistance, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, assisting with stock replenishment, and participating in regular stock counts
- Demonstrate phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially within a grocery store or apparel environment
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings and customer interactions
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic retail math for accurate transactions and inventory management
- Strong communication skills to engage confidently with customers and team members
- Experience in product demos, upselling techniques, merchandising, stocking, and cash handling will be advantageous
- Knowledge of grocery store operations can be beneficial for understanding fast-paced retail environments
