Responsibilities
- Perform complex diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostics tools and schematics to identify issues accurately across various vehicle systems.
- Repair and overhaul powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drivetrains, with precision and efficiency.
- Conduct detailed electrical system troubleshooting, including automotive electrical systems and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), ensuring all electronic components function seamlessly.
- Lead vehicle maintenance tasks such as wheel alignments, brake repairs, welding, and auto body repairs to uphold safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools skillfully to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle parts while adhering to safety protocols.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to guide repairs on GM vehicles or similar models, maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Supervise junior technicians, provide mentorship on best practices for automotive repair, and ensure all work meets dealership standards.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in dealership settings or similar environments.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and electrical components.
- Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair and powertrain maintenance.
- Familiarity with ADAS technology, vehicle alignment procedures, and auto body repair techniques.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for complex vehicle systems.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive maintenance tools safely.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Experience working on GM vehicles or comparable brands is highly desirable.
- Certification in automotive repair or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; ongoing training encouraged.
