Responsibilities:
- Provide patient service by assisting physicians and medical staff in the examination and treatment of patients.
- Perform medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, and handling insurance forms.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including taking vital signs, obtaining medical history, and explaining treatment procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures, such as collecting specimens and performing venipuncture.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
-Completing Prior Authorizations for medications, processing referrals for insurance companies, and other administrative duties
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
- Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge.
- Experience in medication administration.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Skills:
- Patient care: Ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages.
- Medical administrative support: Proficiency in managing medical records, scheduling appointments, and handling insurance forms.
- Basic life support: Certification in BLS techniques for emergency situations.
- Coding: Familiarity with medical coding systems for accurate billing purposes.
- Medical terminology: Understanding of common medical terms and abbreviations.
- Medication administration: Ability to safely administer medications according to healthcare provider instructions.
- Anatomy knowledge: Understanding of human anatomy for accurate patient assessment.
- Vital signs: Proficiency in measuring and recording vital signs accurately.
