GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Efficiently & accurately process inventory to fulfill customer & company needs via FedEx, UPS, & USPS.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Able to self-prioritize workflow based on demand & time.
- Able to safely operate a hand cart, hand truck, and forklift
- Identify, separate, label, and palletize material.
- Able to fulfill Orders by printing & following a Pick Ticket.
- Safely able load & unload material into freight trailer.
- Identify and report inventory discrepancies.
- Meet safety, productivity, and quality standards.
- Able to use the required computer programs needed to perform role:
- Fishbowl Inventory, FedEx Shipmanager, UPS Worldship, & USPS programs.
- Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/needed. Including but not limited to: Product Assembly, re-palletizing & packaging material, & inventory cycle counting.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse organization & cleanliness.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred
- Experience with inventory/cycle counting a plus.
- Sufficient literacy to read and understand item code labels
- Forklift experience is required. Certification is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy is required to be successful in this position
- Reliable attendance is required to be successful in this position
- Basic computer skills
- Solid basic math skills are a must for daily tasks and year-end inventory. They include fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to work in and promote a team environment.
- Work performed in a warehouse-type facility with temperatures subject to normal environmental conditions.
- Work surfaces are concrete. Personnel will stand while performing much of their respective job functions.
- Hard-working and strong work ethic.
- Overtime may be required, including some occasional weekends
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Continuous (6 to 8 hours) standing and repetitive motions, including bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, grabbing, pushing, and pulling. Uses wrists, hands and/or fingers in a repetitive motion, and reach with hands and arms extensively.
- Good hand and eye coordination
- Required to repetitively lift from 5 to 50 lbs. including reaching above shoulder level, at and below waist level depending on the job
- Hand dexterity and strength to include simple grasping, power grasping, and fine motor skill manipulation.
- Talk and hear, both in person and by telephone.
- Use computers with exposure to video display terminals, and some repetitive motion associated with data entry, the use of a computer mouse, and while using other office equipment.
- Possess the following vision requirements: close, color, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Safety equipment provided based on the specific job.
