Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and licensed Professional
Land Surveyor (PLS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting
precise land surveys, preparing detailed maps and reports, and ensuring compliance with local,
state, and federal regulations. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and
the ability to manage projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform boundary, topographic, and construction surveys using surveying equipment and
software.
- Analyze survey data and prepare plans, and legal descriptions.
- Verify property boundaries and resolve discrepancies in land records.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to provide survey support.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.
- Manage survey crews and oversee field operations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all projects.
- Utilize GPS, GIS, and CAD technologies for data collection and mapping.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related
field.
- Licensure: Must hold a valid Professional Land Surveyor license in Massachusetts.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of professional surveying experience.
- Proficiency in surveying instruments, GPS systems, and CAD software.
- Strong knowledge of legal principles related to land surveying.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with GIS mapping and data management.
- Familiarity with drone surveying and LiDAR technology.
- Project management experience.
