The Title Clerk is responsible for processing and managing vehicle titles, registrations, and related documentation while ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations. This position supports dealership operations by maintaining organized records and providing excellent customer service to both internal departments and external customers.

Process vehicle titles, registrations, license plates, and lien documentation accurately and timely

Verify legal transfer of documents for the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)

Submit all title paperwork to appropriate agencies and financial institutions

Maintain title schedules and follow up on outstanding titles or missing documentation

Prepare and review deals for compliance and completeness

Handle payoff processing and lien releases

Communicate with customers, lenders, and state agencies regarding title issues or corrections

Maintain organized and accurate filing systems for vehicle records and paperwork

Assist accounting and sales departments with deal-related documentation

Ensure compliance with dealership policies and state regulations

Previous title clerk, automotive dealership, or administrative experience preferred

Knowledge of DMV processes and vehicle title regulations preferred
