- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate detergents and cleaning equipment to ensure hygienic living environments.
- Manage laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothing and linens.
- Maintain floors through regular sweeping, mopping, carpet cleaning, and specialized floor care techniques.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting for furniture or supplies with proper safety precautions.
- Ensure all cleaning surfaces are spotless by using appropriate cleaning agents and techniques tailored to different materials.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their specific needs and provide exceptional customer service.
- Manage outdoor work responsibilities when required, including outdoor surface cleaning and yard tidying.
- Organize housekeeping supplies and equipment for efficient use during daily tasks.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations related to custodial work and janitorial procedures.
- Support housekeeping management by assisting with scheduling or special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential cleaning or housekeeping roles; janitorial or custodial experience is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, including dusting, surface sanitation, floor cleaning, carpet care, and outdoor maintenance.
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents, equipment operation (such as vacuums and floor scrubbers), and sanitation standards.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and outdoor work activities.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple homes or projects.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about their expectations.
- Demonstrated reliability with a keen eye for detail ensuring every space is spotless.
