Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and with exceptional service. This position requires strong communication skills and a commitment to food safety standards, making it essential for maintaining the high-quality dining experience our establishment is known for.
Duties
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure that all food items are presented in an appealing manner before serving to guests.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down banquet events as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area. Example: bussing tables as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to relay any special requests or issues.
- Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines at all times.
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures is essential.
- Experience in food preparation or cooking is a plus.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS systems can be beneficial for order management.
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or banquet setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
