Job Description
- Able to interpret and understand Fiber Optic Design Packages, containing installation drawings and detailed splice matrices.
- Monitor and inspect contractors during fiber optic installations and splicing.
- Knowledge and experience with Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) testing. Able to review OTDR test results performed by others.
- Knowledge and experience with Optical Loss Test Set (OLTS) testing. Able to review OLTS test results performed by others.
- Some experience performing OSP fiber optic cable splicing is a plus.
- Desired, but not required certifications:
- IN101: BICSI Installer 1 Training
- IN250: BICSI Installer 2 Optical Fiber Training
- TE350: BICSI Technician Training
- IN225: BICSI Installer 2 Copper Training
