POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Superintendent is responsible for in managing daily field operations on commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for coordinating, verifying work in place, and ensuring construction is performed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with contract documents, submittals, and quality standards.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management
- Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with project managers, ensuring timely completion of various phases of construction.
- Resource Allocation: Manage the allocation of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to maximize efficiency and minimize delays.
- Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure that work meets specified standards, conducting inspections and facilitating necessary adjustments as needed.
Supervision & Leadership
- Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate construction crews and subcontractors by assigning tasks, setting deadlines, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Training & Development: Provide guidance and on-the-job training for team members, promoting skill development and compliance with safety regulations.
- Conflict Resolution: Address conflicts or issues that arise on the job site effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
Communication
- Stakeholder Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, ensuring all parties are informed of project status and any developments.
- Reporting: Prepare and present progress reports that detail project status, challenges faced, and plans for overcoming obstacles to stakeholders and upper management.
Safety & Compliance
- Safety Management: Enforce adherence to safety protocols and regulations, conducting regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a safe working environment
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work is compliant with local, state, and federal regulations, including obtaining necessary permits.
Budget Management
- Cost Control: Monitor budget expenditures and implement strategies to minimize costs without compromising quality.
- Change Orders: Evaluate change orders, ensuring they are justified and properly documented, and informing stakeholders of any impacts on project budgets or schedules.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This role operates in afield environment. Field visits require the ability to navigate active construction sites, including uneven terrain, exposure to weather conditions, and proximity to heavy equipment. The position requires the ability to lift and carry survey equipment (up to 50 lbs.), stand for extended periods, and drive between job sites throughout the Houston metro area.

Compensation Classification – All salaried positions within Après Ventures are classified as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). All hourly positions are classified as non-exempt and are eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable federal and state law.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
