Wee Care Corp is seeking a Direct Care Worker (Direct Support Provider) to provide safe, respectful support to individuals with developmental disabilities as they build independence and work toward personal goals. This role exists to strengthen daily functioning, confidence, and progress through consistent, evidence-based assistance.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on support aligned with each individual’s plan and goals
- Encourage empowerment, self-esteem, and skill development
- Communicate clearly and professionally with a customer-focused approach
- Maintain safety, integrity, and accurate documentation as required
Required qualifications/skills:
- Genuine motivation to make a positive impact
- Familiarity with developmental disabilities (highly valued)
- Experience promoting self-esteem/advocacy (preferred)
- CPR/First Aid and Article 9 training (a strong plus; classes provided)
- Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance and Introduction to Developmental Disabilities certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

During evening, night, and weekend shifts, you’ll review the individuals care plan and goals, recent updates or changes, plan your shift around routines and measurable goals. Your time will include steady support and coaching, with intentional pauses to encourage independence and maintain a calm pace, keep communication clear and respectful, and finish by documenting shift notes.
