We are hiring motivated, coachable individuals to join our team as Jr. Appliance Nerds.
This is an entry-level sales and development position designed for individuals who want to learn the appliance industry, strengthen their customer service skills, and develop into confident sales professionals.
Previous appliance or advanced sales experience is not required. We are looking for individuals who are dependable, willing to learn, comfortable working with customers, and interested in building a long-term career.

The Role: Jr. Appliance Nerd
A Jr. Appliance Nerd is a developing sales professional who supports the customer experience while learning Neu’s products, processes, and sales standards.
In this role, you will work alongside experienced Appliance Nerds and store leadership to build the knowledge and confidence needed to advance into a full sales position.
You will:
- Welcome customers and help identify their appliance needs
- Assist customers with basic product questions
- Learn the differences between new, open-box, refurbished, and scratch-and-dent inventory
- Support Appliance Nerds during more complex customer interactions
- Help customers locate products and understand available options
- Learn how to explain basic appliance features and benefits
- Assist with paperwork, customer information, and order preparation
- Learn Neu’s sales process and customer service standards
- Maintain clean, organized, and customer-ready showroom areas
- Participate in product training and team meetings
- Complete basic product presentations as part of your development
- Support customer follow-up and outreach activities
- Represent the Neu brand professionally in the showroom and at company events
Jr. Appliance Nerds are not expected to begin as product experts. They are expected to demonstrate consistent improvement, preparation, professionalism, and a willingness to be coached.

The Jr. Appliance Nerd position is designed to prepare employees for advancement into the full Appliance Nerd role.
Employees who consistently demonstrate strong customer service, product knowledge, reliability, and sales ability may be promoted into positions with greater responsibility and earning potential.
Training and Development
No appliance background is required.
We provide structured training from the ground up, including:
- Appliance terminology and basic product knowledge
- Differences between appliance conditions and inventory types
- Customer service and communication skills
- Introduction to Neu’s sales process
- Basic feature-to-benefit selling
- Product comparison fundamentals
- Paperwork and order-processing procedures
- Shopify and showroom systems
- Presentation and public-speaking development
- Professional follow-up and customer outreach
Training will include classroom instruction, product demonstrations, and supervised customer interactions.
