Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and expertise, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship in accordance with project specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles, technical drawings, and various welding techniques to produce durable and accurate metal structures. Duties
- Perform MIG welding to join metal components accurately and efficiently.
- Utilize TIG welding techniques, especially for sanitary stainless fittings and welds, which is considered a plus.
- Execute metal fabrication tasks based on detailed technical drawings and blueprints.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to ensure precise fabrication and assembly.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during fabrication and welding processes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Inspect finished welds and fabricated parts for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
- Operate various fabrication tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fabrication with a strong background in MIG welding.
- Experience with TIG welding, particularly for sanitary stainless steel fittings, is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Solid understanding of mechanical principles relevant to fabrication work.
- Must have prior fabrication experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Mechanical knowledge that supports troubleshooting and problem-solving during fabrication processes.
- Attention to detail, safety consciousness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
