The Special Friends Foundation is a small, family owned nonprofit human services organization that provides day and residential services to adults with intellectual disabilities and autism. Special Friends is hiring a Live In Lead Direct Support Profession al for an existing home serving two individuals. Responsibilities include meal preparation, support with ADLs, community outings, medication administration, service documentation, leading by example for the other staff in the home, and other duties as assigned.
The live in staff live occupies a critical leadership role in the home. Staff lives and works in the home Monday-Friday mornings and evenings with some weekend responsibilities as needed. Food, utilities, and living expenses are provided. Experience in Intellectual Disabilities services is strongly preferred, Bachelors degree also preferred.
