Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies.
- Manage and supervise staff, including hiring, training, and employee orientation.
- Conduct interviews and recruit top talent to build a high-performing team.
- Implement effective inventory control measures and manage purchasing processes.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping and payroll records.
- Drive sales performance through effective merchandising, pricing strategies, and retail math analysis.
- Foster a culture of exceptional customer service by leading by example.
- Develop training programs for staff to enhance skills in sales management and customer engagement.
- Monitor shift management activities to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Utilize strong communication skills to interact with team members and customers effectively.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the store environment.
Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience in labor management or a similar role with supervisory experience.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes positively.
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, and training employees.
- Familiarity with payroll systems, bookkeeping practices, and inventory management techniques.
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are highly desirable for effective communication with diverse customers.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on time management.
- A background in grocery warehouse operations or wireless sales is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability in marketing strategies that drive sales growth.
