Responsibilities
- Conduct outside sales activities to identify and develop new insurance clients
- Engage with prospects via telemarketing, community events, and networking to generate leads
- Present insurance products and solutions tailored to individual client needs
- Negotiate policy terms and premiums to close sales effectively
- Manage sales administration tasks including documentation, follow-ups, and CRM updates
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and explaining policy details clearly
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop outreach strategies and promotional campaigns
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and other industry standards during client interactions
- Assist clients with benefits administration and policy renewals as needed
- Utilize analysis skills to assess market trends and identify opportunities for growth
Experience
- Proven experience in outside sales, retail sales, or telemarketing within the insurance industry or related fields
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining team collaboration
- Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable for serving diverse populations
- Familiarity with sales administration tools, CRM software, and marketing techniques
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and benefits administration is preferred
- Prior experience in customer service roles that require active listening and problem-solving skills
