Progressive Partnerships, LLC. is seeking a Cleaning Direct Support Professional to support individuals with mental health diagnoses and developmental disabilities in Sussex, Morris, and Warren Counties. This position will look different every day depending on the client. This job is heavily focused on cleaning client homes, supporting them in learning the skills to clean and live independently, and writing case notes. This role is perfect for someone in the field of social services looking to support our clients in achieving their goals!
-Assist individuals with cleaning/organizing their independent living spaces
-Teach the skills needed to maintain a clean and organized home
-Complete cleaning tasks including mopping, wiping down surfaces, bathrooms, laundry etc.
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as meal preparation and laundry
- Create a safe and supportive environment for individuals to thrive
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to ensure holistic care
Experience
- Prior experience in behavioral health, childcare, or special education is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of American Sign Language is a plus
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Experience in home and community care settings is beneficial
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
