Job Title: Mitigation SupervisorReports to: Mitigation Manager
Job Summary: The Mitigation Supervisor leads and manages a team of technicians through all phases of mitigation and environmental restoration projects. This role is responsible for ensuring job completion within budget, maintaining quality standards, managing project timelines, and supporting the professional development of technicians. The Mitigation Supervisor must communicate effectively with project managers and coordinators, monitor progress on all active jobs, and ensure that safety, quality, and customer service expectations are met.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Attend the daily tech meeting at the shop, reviewing job scopes and information with technicians working on your jobs for the day. Ensure everyone is clear on what is needed (equipment, supplies, trucks, etc.).
- Quick supervisor huddles to game plan for the day and gather any necessary information from Project Coordinators (PCs) before leaving the shop.
- Visit all in-progress jobs and new jobs to ensure setup is completed correctly.
- Confirm that estimates and T&M scopes are accurate.
- Confirm that job budgets are aligned with estimates.
- Establish timeline and expectations for the job with the technician, ensuring the correct amount of equipment is available.
- Reach out to the PM with any questions or issues, including scope changes, budget concerns, or additional work required.
- Identify and document any pre-existing damages.
- Check on all in-progress jobs via in-person visits, FaceTime, or phone calls to ensure quality, cleanliness, and adherence to the schedule.
- Before leaving each job, send an Xcelerate update note with inspection photos.
- Verify that the correct amount of equipment is on-site for each job.
- Complete inspection forms for each job to document progress.
- Conduct new job inspections, walk the job with the PM to identify scope, manpower, and days needed for the project.
- Participate in the weekly on-call rotation for after-hours dispatching.
- During on-call weeks, as needed, go to job sites to set expectations with property management and technicians for large or complex jobs.
- Lead the team by demonstrating and promoting company core values.
- Instruct: Go over scopes and the plan for job delivery with your team.
- Train: Teach technicians as needed, providing tips, shortcuts, and guidance, including how to use Xcelerate, take pictures, and set up phones.
- Correct: Identify and explain any mistakes, teaching the proper way to do the work so technicians can learn and improve.
- Complete and turn in required documentation and job notes at the end of each day, ensuring all job details are captured.
- Maintain regular communication with the PM, Project Coordinators, and Mitigation Manager regarding project schedules, changes in scope, material needs, and technician assignments.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a lead technician in the restoration/mitigation field, or experience successfully meeting job requirements as a Lead Tech.
- Valid Driver’s License (Class C) with a clean driving record.
- Strong English communication skills (read, write, verbal); bilingual skills are a plus.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and manage technician teams effectively.
- Comfort with using company software and apps for documentation, reports, and forms.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and ability to apply them to daily tasks.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
- Ability to instruct, mentor, and develop technicians through feedback and hands-on training.
- Experience in managing multiple types of jobs, ranging from simple to large loss projects.
- Ability to maintain and manage the company-assigned vehicle.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50-75 lbs.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments, including on construction sites.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
