Job Summary: The Maintenance Superintendent will be responsible for supervising and coordinating a team of Maintenance Supervisors during the 2nd shift to achieve daily goals and exceed expectations.
- Drive Operational Efficiency & Profitability by monitoring daily and weekly yields, efficiencies, and profitability while taking corrective action as needed.
- Manage staffing and maintenance schedules to meet customer needs and optimize resources.
- Develop and implement safety and ergonomic programs by training employees on safe work practices, identifying hazards, and addressing ergonomic concerns to create a safe workplace.
- Uphold sanitation, product quality, and customer service standards to ensure compliance with USDA and company regulations and reinforce high standards through regular line meetings.
- Train supervisors and employees on company policies and procedures through line meetings and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance and plant efficiency.
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to production floor employees to motivate and align teams towards achieving operational goals.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 3+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
- Experience acting as a lead by providing training, coaching, or mentoring to less experienced staff or managing a process or project, required.
- Food manufacturing experience required, with a strong preference for meet, kill/harvest floor experience.
- Experience working with PLC’s and Ammonia Refrigeration.
- Experience using various computer applications, including time-keeping systems, SAP, and Microsoft Office programs to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
- Open to travel up to 10% of the time.
- In-Depth Manufacturing Expertise: Bring a solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Strong Knowledge of Industry Standards: Well-versed in OSHA standards, USDA guidelines, and HACCP regulations to ensure compliance.
- Bilingual speaking background highly desired.
Salary: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00
