General Job Description:
A Career Technical Laboratory Assistant assists in guiding and directing students in the career technical laboratory or classroom, performing duties directly related to their field of expertise.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree in related area preferred
- Holds credential for designated career-technical laboratory (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and technology skills
- Hold a valid Ohio Educator's licensure or permit (or be willing to obtain)
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Hold a valid Ohio Driver's License
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide Direct Student Support
- Assist small groups of students in career technical laboratory/related classroom
- Assist with preparation of instructional materials and processes for laboratory activities
- Assist with keeping student attendance and performance records
- Assist with maintaining inventory of instructional materials and equipment and perform minor maintenance of equipment
- Attend field trips related to the assigned career-technical laboratory setting
- Assist with program orientation for new students
- Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
- Ability to administer basic first aid
- Notify teacher if student is not meeting classroom goals
- Other duties as assigned

Salary: Starting: $18.10/hr based on experience
